As consumers shift toward safer and more natural personal protection, citronella oil remains one of the most scientifically supported botanical mosquito repellents. Its key active compounds—citronellal, citronellol, and geraniol—interfere with mosquitoes’ olfactory navigation, making it harder for them to detect human scent.
